“Healing begins when you can turn toward your emotions instead of away from them—and discover they were never the problem, but the path to connection, clarity, and change.”
Heartwood Marriage & Family Wellness
Individual Therapy in Georgia & Oregon
A space to feel heard, understand yourself, and move forward.
When worry, sadness, or overwhelm takes up too much space in your life, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Individual therapy at Heartwood offers time to slow down, explore what you’re experiencing, and work toward changes that matter to you.
We offer in-person care serving Smyrna and Vinings, Georgia, and online therapy for clients located in Georgia and Oregon. Appointment options depend on your clinician and location.
Support for what you’re carrying
You may be managing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, or a difficult life transition. You may feel overwhelmed by ADHD-related challenges, find yourself repeating patterns you want to change, or simply need room to sort through your thoughts and feelings.
We’ll help you connect with a clinician whose experience fits your needs. Together, you can explore emotional patterns, strengthen coping skills, practice boundaries, and develop a clearer understanding of yourself and your relationships.
Heartwood welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. Your identity, values, and experiences have a place in the conversation.
Therapy shaped around you
Your therapist will listen to understand your experiences and work with you to identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic. Sessions can include exploring emotions, noticing patterns, and practicing skills you can use in everyday life.
Our clinicians use approaches that may include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-informed care, and practical skill-building. The approach will depend on your needs and your clinician’s training. Together, you’ll discuss what feels helpful and adjust the work as your goals evolve.
Finding the right fit
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with the person supporting you. Instead of asking you to sort through a long list of names, we’ll help you explore the care options that fit your needs, location, preferences, and schedule.
Care centered on you
Whether you’re looking for help with anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, grief, or relationship stress, we start by understanding what matters most to you and what you hope will change.
Different paths to support
Heartwood offers care through supervised clinical interns, associate clinicians, and fully licensed professionals. Appointment types, fees, and availability vary by clinician and state.

What to expect when you begin
We’ll start by discussing what brings you in, your preferred appointment format, clinician availability, and fees. Your first therapy session is an opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions, and explore what you hope will change.
You don’t need a perfectly organized story. Your therapist will help you find a starting point and work with you at a pace that supports the process.
